This article was found one of the popular blogs, and in order not to violate the integrity – then the author’s text was preserved: wandering in the expanses of YouTube, I came across a bewitching video with a demonstration of the work of this simple device. The first impression of viewing was so strong that the hands themselves began to drive into Google a search for online stores, where you could find out the price and purchase it. The price was not to be biting, but there was no interest to buy a ready -made device. Thinking about 15 minutes above the device, it was decided to assemble it with your own hands…

Ideally, we will need a mirror, mirror on the one hand and transparent on the other. Or translucent, t.To. Having turned off the device, we have the opportunity to use it as a regular mirror.
Looking ahead, I will say that I stopped the choice on a mirror film from the household.magician.
So we have:
– An ordinary mirror
– Mirror film
– Polistyle foam for the case
– Glass sheet (window)
– Two sheets of sandpaper
– Spatula and putty
– Polystyrene cutting knife
– Girlyanda Chinese blue for 100 LEDs
– Lobby
– Glass cutter
– Sucker
Assembly
Cut the circle from glass. This is done as follows:
We pass the glass cutter in a circle, and then from the circle, radially, cut the slots from the circle to the edges. Then we tap all lines from below with glass cutter, until light cracks appear under the lines. Then we lay a towel under the circle and break off the excess with your hand. However, for the first time in one place it turned out crookedly, I had to redo. The diameter of the glass decreased from 40 to 35cm.
It turns out something like this:
Next, we take the sandpaper and the grinding stone, and under the stream of water (necessarily under the stream of water) we clean the edges. Without fanaticism, the main thing is that there are no sharp edges.
Cut the mirror blank. Important: cut only from the side of the glass, in no case by silver.
So now we cut the case. We take polysterol, I cut a square out of it and outlined a future ring on it.
Then, with the help of a jigsaw and knife, cut a ring, and mark the first holes for diodes with a marker. Yes, by the way, the ring (its inner part) is made 1 cm less than the mirror so that the allowance everywhere is 5 mm at the edges. There will be something to glue in the future.
We make holes for diodes (I melted with a soldering iron).
We make another ring, apply a film on the glass
Actually, here is a comparison of the film and mirrors. The effect, as they say, on the face. Time to start doubting this undertaking.
But the finish is close, we connect our Christmas tree garland.
Even with a bunch of wires, the effect is simply amazing, in the style of cyber punk probably.
