On YouTube, a video was published with a demonstration of the early version of ONI 2 — Angel Studios was engaged in its creation. Subsequently, the studio was renamed Rockstar San Diego, and the history of Oni 2 ended in 2002, although its authors had a lot of original ideas. The combat system looked especially interesting — The heroine could instantly switch between close battle and shooting from weapons during a fight with several opponents.
But the publishing house Take-Two wanted to see the final result as soon as possible, and the game turned out to be too ambitious, because of which the developers did not have time to do anything. As a result, it was decided to close the project and direct the team’s resources to create Red Dead Revolver.
