A leader has changed in the wireless column market

The leader was replaced in the wireless column market: they became Amazon. It will not be easy to hold the first place of the company, given the recent output of Apple Homepod.

According to Strategy Analytics, in 2016 a total of 14 million speakers with Wi-Fi support was produced, which is 62 % more than a year earlier.

Amazon increased the supply of Echo devices by 77 % to 5 million units, as a result of which the Internet giant became the leader of the market in question. Sonos, which in 2015 held the palm of the championship, fell to the second position with 4 million shipped devices.

In addition to Amazon and Sonos, large manufacturers of WiFi colonies are also Bose, Harman, Denon, Sony and Google. Soon this list will replenish Apple.
