Representatives of the company announced their plans last year, and the other day they demonstrated a detailed plan for the construction of a unique building. In accordance with preliminary calculations, construction will require approximately $ 5.5 billion and 185 thousand cubic meters of wood. The height of the structure will be 350 meters. This will be the first house made of wood of such a height.
Until now, the maximum height of wood houses in Japan was 7 floors. So the uniqueness of the project is undeniable. The structure will be strengthened by a steel frame, so that it is able to expose during earthquakes. The total area of the house will reach 450 thousand square meters. They will place apartments, living rooms and offices on them. As the creators assure, the interior will be decorated with decorative waterfalls, as well as plants resistant to fire on the facade of the building.
It would be enough for the construction of this building that it would be enough for 9 thousand houses of wood of standard sizes, usually built by Sumitomo Forestry. Before the start of the construction of such an unusual skyscraper, builders plan to make a small copy, reaching “only” 14 floors in height.
