The Norwegian company Hoppe Marine has developed a ship that can hold a strictly vertical position, even with high waves. This effect is achieved due to the internal tank into which sea water is rhythmically pumped. Thanks to this technology, pitching and a ship’s roll is almost completely neutralized. However, there is a drawback: the method works only in a stationary position and if the ship moves, then such a technology will be useless. It is expected that the first transport with such stability will be launched in 2015.
