The actual issue of energy conservation and environmental protection from harmful substances used in refrigerators received an unexpected decision. Engineers from Germany designed the original cooling system based on the use of the unique properties of the Nickel and Titan.
An alloy called Nitinol has a “form of shape”, while the material absorbs (with stretching) heat from the environment, and during compression the heat is radiated. According to information provided by the developers, the minimum temperature difference reaches significant 20 ° C, which allows you to create devices for cooling or refrigerators.
The prototype of German engineers is a cylinder wrapped in tugs twisted by nitinol wire. When the cylinder rotates, the wire with the absorption of heat occurs, then the wire, using the “memory effect”, takes the original shape and releases heat.
The main task of engineers is to create an effective blowing wire to remove cold or warm air. At the same time, it is important to make an accurate calculation of the diameter of the wire, cylinder, the number of harnesses and fan parameters. When creating maximum energy in the laboratory of energy, the developers received power 30 times higher than efforts to stretch the wire.
The installation developed in Germany showed the results 2 times higher than the efficiency of the heat pump and 3 times a traditional refrigerator. At the same time, the system does not use toxic refrigerant, there is no need to create a heat exchanger system. Nitinol is highly resistant to cyclic loads, which will allow the use of installation for a long time. What is the cost of development is not specified.
