“Live” pictures of the AMD Radeon HD 7770 standard

On the pages of the Rage3D forum, photographs of the reference sample still not yet officially represented by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) of the Radeon HD 7770 graphic adapter based on the 28-nm chip technology Cape Verde.

This accelerator is the most productive model in the Radeon HD 7700 Series product line, whose representatives belong to younger carriers of the architecture of the Graphics Core NEXT (GCN) among the GPU Southern Islands family. It is built on a black printed circuit board, which in length resembles the one that Radeon HD 5770. Its two -sloping system of active air cooling on top is covered with a black plastic casing with red accents and consists of a round aluminum radiator, blown by a large fan with a red impeller. There are only four GDDR5 memory microcircuits on board with a 128-bit interface, a connector for the possibility of combining two video cards into Crossfire configuration, as well as a special 6-pin connector for the organization of additional power supply. DVI, HDMI and Mini DisplayPort ports are displayed on the back panel. According to approximate estimates, the area of the CAPE VERDE chip does not exceed 150 mm2. It is also reported that the level of energy consumption of the Radeon HD 7770 in the maximum load mode will be a little more than 100 watts.

There is no accurate information about the announcement of the above solution, but there is no doubt that this will happen in the first half of next year.
