Acer decided to compete with an ultra -thin MacBook Air portable computer from Apple by improving its equipment «Belodic» Aspire S3 laptop.
Compared to the initial option on the Intel Core i5 processor, the improved version received a more powerful Intel Core i7 chip, and instead of a tandem of a 320-gigabyte hard drive and a 20-gigabyte solid-state disk in its arsenal, a 240 GB SSD drive has now appeared in its arsenal. Thus, according to the developers, from now on, to get out of the sleeping regime, their brainchild requires less than two seconds.
The machine is enclosed in a strong housing with a thickness of almost 13 mm, made of magnesium-aluminum alloy, and equipped with a 13.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. At the same time, it was stated that the period of autonomous work from the standard battery reaches six hours.
It will be possible to buy Acer Aspire S3 in a new configuration in the United States for $ 1300, which is $ 400 above the previous price.
