Acer has begun to produce its first gaming tablet. This was reported by Digitimes, indicating as a source of information from Taiwanese participants in supply chains.
Earlier, the President and CEO of Acer Jason Chen, said that in 2015, the company would concentrate efforts on chromebooks, portable computers «two in one», as well as gaming products. The latter will be the new tablet to the latter. He, as noted, will enter the market under the Predator brand, under which other products for gamers are already produced.

It is known that the tablet will receive an 8-inch sensor display and Intel processor. We are talking about the ATOM X7-Z8700 Cherry Trail generation. This 14-nanometer product includes four 64-bit Airmont nuclei, 8th generation Intel graphics and 2-channel memory controller LPDDR3. The clock frequency is 1.6 GHz with the possibility of increasing to 2.4 GHz.
Other characteristics of the gadget are not yet disclosed. But the approximate date of the appearance of the novelty in the market is called — The third or fourth quarter of this year. It is expected that the release of the tablet will allow Acer to slightly strengthen the positions in the game field.
