Acer will put more than 25 thousand devices for the Olympic Games in London

Acer and London Organizational Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (The London Organising Committe of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, Locog) announced the conclusion of an agreement on the supply of computer infrastructure, which will be used to support the conduct of the Olympic Games 2012.

Joint efforts Acer and Locog are going to create an infrastructure consisting of 11,000 desktop computers, 10,500 monitors, 1,500 laptops, 1,500 touch screens, 900 servers, five sets of data storage networks (Storage Area Networks, SAN) with 72 TB of memory, as well as put numerous accessoriesincluding bags for netbooks, keyboard, computer mice, memory modules.

Together with the supply of computer equipment, Acer will provide 350 highly qualified specialists who will ensure that the equipment is properly installed in the specified Locog places and functions flawlessly during the Olympics.
