
A day after the presentation of the first European High-End smartphone Eluga on the Android platform, Panasonic reported new details about its technical characteristics.
Panasonic Eluga is equipped with 4.3” The touch of the QHD (960 x 540 pixels) is based on the TI OMAP 4430 processor with a clice frequency of 1 GHz and has 1 GB of the RAM, 8 GB of the built-in memory plus 8-MP camera with autofocus and stabilization function.
The thickness of the smartphone housing is only 7.8 mm, weight — 103 g. The device is protected from moisture and dust penetration, and also supports NFC technology, which provides data transmission wirelessly at short distances.
The battery capacity is 1150 mAh, the duration of autonomous work in the conversation mode is about 240 minutes, in standby mode — up to 300 hours.
Eluga is running the Android Gingerbread 2 OS.3.5. As Panasonic promises, this spring the firmware of the smartphone will be updated to the ICE Cream Sandwich version. In Europe, the novelty will go on sale in March at an approximate price of 400-450 euros. We add that representatives of Panasonic do not exclude the possibility of Eluga in Russia and the CIS countries.
