Airbus E -Fan is far from the first plane with an electric engine, but the first model that is designed for commercial use. E-Fan can take on board besides the pilot of another passenger. The aircraft is equipped with a pair of fan engineers, which rotate two electric motors of 60 kW each. The battery is used lithium-ion. The flight duration is only an hour, but this should be enough for the training of young pilots. The cost of the flight will be much lower due to the rejection of expensive fuel. In addition, the engines themselves are noticeably cheaper in operation. For use for other purposes, a hybrid version of the aircraft with an additional internal combustion engine will be produced.
