NASA American aerospace agency launches a new NEXTSTEP program. Its goal is to develop space transport for manned flights to the moon.

The program will take part in 11 private companies: Boeing, SpaceX, Masten Space Systems, Blue Origin, Lockheed Martin, Dynetics, Northropan Innovation Systems, OrbitBeyond, Sierra Newada Corporation , Aerojet Rocketdyne and SSL. Each participant in the program will receive a certain task, for the implementation of which they will give six months.

The American space agency is ready to allocate $ 45.5 million to implement the concept of the landing module as part of the NextStep project. Under the terms of the program, 20% of the total cost of projects are paid by private companies themselves. At the same time, the required device should be reusable with the ability to descend from the moonstream of Deep Space Gateway to the surface of the moon and return back, for example, for transporting goods, people and automatic refueling.
