Amazon develops a second-generation Fire TV Stick Fire TV Stick

In October last year, Amazon announced the Fire TV Stick TV traffic jackets (in illustrations), which is a direct competitor to Google Chromecast. As now reported, a second generation Fire TV Stick is being prepared for the release.

At least, the results of testing the Amazon device with designation AFTS appeared on the network. This abbreviation, according to observers, means nothing more than Amazon Fire TV Stick.

It is known that the device used 1.5-GHC processor MediaTek MT8173, which contains four computing nuclei (two Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53). In the original version of the key fabric, a dual -core chip Boadcom BCM28155 is involved with a frequency of up to 1 GHz.

The novelty will receive at least 1.5 GB of RAM against 1 GB at the first version. The graphics processing will be engaged in the integrated PowerVR GX6250 controller.

In addition, it refers to the built-in flash module with a capacity of 8 GB and the operating system based on Android 5.1.

As for the other characteristics of the second generation Fire TV Stick, they are most likely inherited by the first model. These are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless adapters, HDMI connector for connecting to the TV and Port Micro-USB for feeding.

Nothing is reported about the deadlines for the announcement of the novelty.
