The British rationalizer hiding behind the nickname Photon posted a video showing a quick and reliable way to erase any optical disk. The essence of the methodology is to burn a metal reflective layer located inside a CD with an electric arc. Since the metal is a conductor, the electric arc is gradually completely burning the metal reflecting layer of the CD. A similar effect can be observed if you “fry” the CD in the microwave oven.
