Canon has announced the development of the APS-H (29.2 × 20.2 mm) CMOS matrix with a record resolution of 120 megapixels. For comparison, now the widespread matrices of this size have a resolution of a maximum of 16.1 megapixels. The novelty announced in the press release on August 24 has a resolution of 13280 × 9184 pixels, allows you to shoot up to 9.5 photos per second and record Full HD video (1920×1080). Moreover, only 1/60 part of the matrix is used to solve the last problem. Unfortunately, the company does not report plans for the sale of cameras with a new matrix. And the price, as you can assume, will have a considerable apparatus.
